How to become a member
Every member must first complete one orientation class-you choose the one that best suits your needs! You can get information on booking this class in person or online.
Everybody’s skill level is different, and every body is unique. It is our goal to encourage a minimum base of experience and knowledge level for every member. We accomplish this for anyone who is considered a beginner weightlifter with the Beginner Orientation; a more detailed orientation where you will work with a personal trainer to go over everything from the proper names of exercises and equipment to how to adjust and use the equipment in a comfortable and safe way for your body.
For those already experienced with weight training will attend the General Orientation.
Beginner Orientation
is for you if:
-You’ve never weight/resistance trained; on your own or in a commercial gym
-You haven’t weight trained in one year or more
-You have weight trained before but don’t quite remember how
-You feel intimidated walking into a gym unsure of how to use the equipment properly
-You have a basic idea of how to use weightlifting equipment, but you are unsure of proper form techniques
We All Start At The Beginning
If you or someone you know has ever walked into a gym afraid and unsure how to use the equipment and/or been unable to ask for assistance with any exercise, then this is the class for you. This class will break down the information of every piece of equipment we have to be sure you are completely comfortable with how to adjust it and what muscle group(s) you are working. You will be working with the trainer one-on-one or in a small group.
*Important note: You are not expected nor required to purchase a membership after taking our True Beginner Orientation - making this a great option for any and all beginner lifters.
Beginner Orientation classes to be booked during Open Hours only: 9am-3pm M-F
Sat/Sun and weekday evening classes available with additional $15 booking fee

Membership
Congratulations on your advancement to Membership at Kilos & Company! You are taking the steps and putting in the effort to better your education in the science of resistance/weight training. By completing your orientation class, you are now eligible to purchase Open Gym credits, exclusive to Kilos & Company Members!
You will receive instruction on downloading our app where you can:
Membership can be suspended or revoked for violating membership agreement
What are
Open Gym Credits
Open Gym Credits are what our members purchase instead of paying a monthly membership fee. Have you ever paid for a monthly membership or subscription and barely used it? Maybe you’ve had a gym membership before and there was a month where you were traveling a lot or got sick or were just busy and you didn’t have hardly any time to go.
Our Open Gym credits are purchased and used as single use sessions. They don’t expire for 1-3months (depending on the package you select). For example: If you purchase the 10 Credit Pack, this gives you access to the gym 10 times, 24hours a day, to be used within 2 months. After purchase, you must book your Open Gym session in advance on our app- up to 5min till workout time and no more than 2 weeks in advance - this is what tells other gym members how many patrons are in the gym at each time. The top of each hour only allows up to 12 members to book at a time. When you use up your gym credits, simply purchase more. Got some traveling coming up? Change up the credit pack you normally choose to better accommodate you.
We don’t want our members ever paying for something that they can’t use. Not coming back to us for an extended time? No worries, no cancelation to worry about. When life gets back to normal, we’ll be waiting for you, and you can pick up where you left off.

Q: Can I only workout for 1 hour?
A: You can workout for however long you need in one session. However, your session time officially starts until the top of your first hour.
Q: Do I have to book two sessions to workout for longer than one hour?
A: No, you only use one credit and only book for your first hour, regardless of how long you workout for.
Q: What if I book an Open Gym session and can’t work out at that time anymore?
A: You MUST cancel your Open Gym booking at least 5 min till start time or else you forfeit that credit. If you cancel in time, your credit goes back to your credit storage to be used for a different session (will only go away when you use it or if you let it expire)
Q: Is there ever a time I CAN‘T spend my credits?
A: Yes. Here at K&Co we close our doors to members during a pre-booked personal training session or group fitness class. PT and group fitness sessions are always booked at least 2 weeks in advance and that hour for training will show as “booked” on our calendar. It will never be added last minute so you have plenty of time to plan ahead.

No. Our goal is to better educate the public, from complete newcomers to seasoned athletes. We want people to better understand the physical limits and capabilities of themselves and the equipment in order to optimize their performance while keeping themselves and others, safe.
While we LOVE when new members join our little gym fam, we also highly encourage gym-goers of all levels to take our classes with zero membership requirement.
No! The locals know that the East Mountains have a community-based family vibe, and new businesses are good for the community. What we offer as a gym may or may not be different than what is already around, but our EM fam knows that living in such a large area should supply multiple commercial options to fit many different types of needs, including convenience. Other local gyms can’t compete with us, nor us with them. There is no competition when we want every EM business to be successful.
You must be a minimum of 16 in order to workout in our facility without a parent/legal guardian/responsible adult over the age of 18 being present. All members under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent waiver. No minors under the age of 16 can utilize Open Gym hours, only personal training.
Here at K&Co, our philosophy is that anyone and everyone should participate in exercise and fitness, however, resistance training and weightlifting are a science and should be treated as such. It’s no mystery to the general public that working with weights and equipment can be dangerous. Everyone should have proper training and a solid foundation of knowledge and self awareness before taking on this detailed, intricate, sometimes confusing, but also beautiful, sport.
Yes! With a signed parental consent waiver and proper parental/guardian supervision, we train young athletes as young as 13. Reach out to kilosandcompany@gmail.com for more information.
Yes! We are proud to offer a %10 discount for A.D. Military, Veterans, A.D. first responders, and A.D. health care workers.

Short answer: no.
Longer answer:If you are utilizing Open Gym hours at any time of the day, we are legally obligated to let you know that children under the age of 18 that do not have a membership, are not purchasing a membership, and are not taking part in a personal training session, are not allowed on the premises, at all, under any circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If your friend or family member does not have a membership or available Open Gym credits with Kilos & Company, then unfortunately you are not allowed to bring them as a guest for the duration of your training session. K&Co is a private membership gym, requiring any and all guests within the premises to hold a membership, be working towards a membership, or participating in personal training.
Yes! We have resistance training-based classes available on occasion. You need to have completed an orientation class prior to your first group class, but do not need to have an active membership. Group sizes and prices vary. Request information at kilosandcompany@gmail.com or check out our IG @kilos_and_company for any updates on upcoming classes.
You must have access to our app in order to book Open Gym sessions, unlock the front door for access, and purchase Open Gym Credits or anything else we have to offer IF you want to do those things outside of our posted Open Hours. Unfortunately, the push of technology in the past decade has left us with few options for members without a smart phone. Don’t have a smart phone but still interested in K&Co? Send us a message and we can discuss any further potential options.
Our members purchase Open Gym Credits instead of paying for a monthly membership. (See here to learn more about Open Gym Credits) These credits are used to book Open Gym sessions in advance (up to 5min till) and each hour has a cap of 12 members. You can check the calendar on the app to see how many members are booked for each hour. Knowing it will never book over 12 members at a time. Want to work out in an empty gym? Check the calendar and choose the times that nobody else is signed up for!

A little bit of background...
Aaron & Jocelyn Caton are co-owners of Kilos & Company. They married each other in 2015 and after welcomed two firecracker kiddos to the world.
Their fitness journeys began long before...
Aaron is the head trainer at K&Co. He is also the head Track & Field coach at the local high school for over 5 years now.
Aaron’s fitness background really began when he was on the track team back in high school. His main events were the 100, 200, and discus. He currently still holds his high school’s record for the 100 and 200. He held the record for discus for 16 years until 2023 when a student, that Aaron proudly coached himself, earned the top spot. After high school Aaron joined the USMC and served active duty for 4 years in Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion 7th Marines, completing two tours in Afghanistan. While on deployment, he wrote to his then girlfriend, Jocelyn. In one of those letters he expressed his interest and passion for fitness and exercise and how one day he’ll own his own gym and he invited her to join him in his dream.
He later attended college, earning his degree in Exercise Science and his certification through NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) in 2019 and has maintained it since.
Jocelyn’s passion and appreciation for athletics began in high school when she joined the dance team. It was her first experience with anything requiring such an intense level of dedication and physical demand, and found it to be rewarding in so many ways.
When starting college and no longer on a sports team, is when Jocelyn started experimenting with resistance training and weightlifting in the gym. After completing a separate degree, Jocelyn then joined the FITT program and earned her degree in Pre-Health Sciences with a concentration in Exercise Science. She joined a few bodybuilding competitions, trained by Aaron, in between children.
In 2023 Jocelyn finally brought to life her work passion in attending ASHA (Albuquerque School of Healing Arts) and graduated with over 750 training hours in March 2024. She obtained her Massage Therapy License shortly after in May 2024. Jocelyn is skilled in and can perform many massage modalities, but has a lifelong connection with sports focused modalities.
Together, Aaron & Jocelyn started working in 2023 to open Kilos & Company. Over the years when discussing their personal experiences with athletics and fitness in their lives, they agreed on a common goal; To train athletes with a strong foundation in exercise science to be able to build upon in their athletic career. These foundations would prioritize the knowledge of safety so that the athlete’s career can carry on as long as possible. They both realized that had they known all that they know now about the benefits and intricacies of weight lifting and resistance training, back when they were in sports, they could have performed further beyond high school and done so virtually pain free.
